Why samples matter for concrete copings
Concrete colour is affected by pigment loading, curing conditions, and the specific aggregates used. A photograph or colour reference is not a reliable substitute for a physical sample assessed in situ. Our samples are cast from the same mix batch as production stock, so the colour you see on the sample is the colour you get on the wall — including how it weathers and lightens slightly over the first few months.
Small vs large samples
Both small and large sample formats are available. The large sample gives you a bigger surface area to assess texture and colour across the full width of the coping profile. If you are specifying for a long wall run or a client sign-off situation, the large sample is the more useful format. Small samples are adequate for personal decisions on shorter or simpler projects.
Delivery and lead time
Samples are delivered within 2–3 working days — they are not made to order in the same way as full stone products. Order samples as early as possible in your project timeline so any colour decision is made before your 2–3 week production lead time begins. Samples are available in the full range of stock colours.
Trade and client specification
For trade customers specifying on behalf of a client, samples can be sent directly to a site address. If you need samples in multiple colours for a client selection, order each colour variant separately.
