The fluted flat top pier cap has a level top surface with vertical channel fluting on all four sides — the decorative character of the fluted range without the apex profile. Three sizes are available: 260×260×100mm (1×1 brick), 380×380×100mm (1.5×1.5 brick), and 510×510×140mm (2×2 brick), all in precast concrete made to order.
The flat top variant is suited to applications where a level pier cap surface is needed — for example, where a post, gate hardware, or light fitting is to be fixed to the pier head. It provides the decorative fluted finish without the apex profile that would make surface fixings impractical. The channel fluting still adds visual weight and a traditional character to the pier.
The range covers 1×1, 1.5×1.5, and 2×2 brick pier plans. The 260×260mm and 380×380mm sizes are both at 100mm height; the 510×510mm steps up to 140mm, proportional to the larger plan. If your pier is at an intermediate or non-standard size, contact us — bespoke fluted flat top caps can be manufactured.
The fluted flat top sits between the plain flat pier cap (no decoration, level top) and the fluted apex (decoration, pyramid top). It provides maximum versatility — decorative fluting for kerb appeal combined with a flat working surface. The range is more limited than the plain flat pier cap range, so if your pier size is not listed, the plain flat cap may be more practical.
