Once weathered coping stones have a single fall across the width, with one face higher than the other, channelling water off to one side. We stock 11 sizes ranging from 170mm to 700mm wide (all at 600mm length, 75–50mm height profile), making this the widest size range in our coping stone catalogue. Suitable for boundary walls where one face is primary and drainage to one side is preferred.
Once weathered is the correct choice when one face of the wall is more exposed than the other, or where drainage to a specific side is required by design or site constraints. It is commonly used on boundary walls between plots where the finished face is defined, and on retaining walls where the front face matters and the rear is buried or adjacent to soil. It is not suited to freestanding walls where both faces are equally exposed — specify twice weathered in that case.
No other profile in our range covers as wide a span of widths. The 11 sizes are 170, 300, 330, 350, 400, 450, 500, 550, 600, 650, and 700mm wide — all at 600mm length. The height is 75–50mm for all widths except the 330mm which is 100–75mm. All are made to order with a 2–3 week lead time.
Once weathered corner copings are available separately under the Corner Coping Stones category, in both external and internal configurations, covering a range of sizes from 270×170mm up to 650×550mm. If you're ordering once weathered copings for a wall that turns a corner, order the corners at the same time to ensure a consistent batch colour.
Trade accounts are available with credit terms for qualified contractors. Bespoke widths outside the 170–700mm range can be manufactured — contact us on 01664 454 572 before ordering. For large projects, we can provide a cutting list quotation based on your drawings.
